Dark World is an RPG that’s not been well thought out or play tested, to put it simply. While there’s some thought in game mechanics and replayability, this hinges on none of the players realizing that to win all you’ve got to do is ignore things and go as far as you can as fast as you can.

Only worth 1 or 2 plays unless you’re entertaining young kids!

The most modern ‘all-in-one’ RPG game I own, Dreadfleet is another masterful creation by Games Workshop. Pitting ‘good’ pirates against evil pirates in a range of pre-made scenarios and game types, the game plays extremely well.. even if the premise is strange enough to make you think twice about trying it.

Good game mechanics, character types, and scenarios keep it fresh and fun for quite a long time (at least 20+ hours I’d say). As with other games of this ilk the downside for me personally is that I want it to look amazing but I can’t paint for peanuts… but at least it has a damn cool short novel available to enhance the lore and world around the game. Totally worth it.

A game very near and dear to my heart as I have very fond memories of playing it as a young child, and again (in greater depth) as a teenager. I remember sinking an entire school break into this game, completing every mission enough times to near-memorize the entire DM booklet, from a players perspective! Getting harder to find and more expensive, make sure you pick it up before they dissapear – even if you might only play it ‘one day’.

Space Hulk is an amazing game that balances skill and luck fairly equally. The all-in-one game design, but range of missions and objectives is something you can get out and put away quickly and easily but also continue to come back to again and again without it getting old too fast. It definitely took me by surprise with how damn good it is and left me a little bit astonished as to why I’d never played it before. Worth every cent if you’ve got at least 1 solid gaming partner to share it with.

Meh, it’s Monopoly! Takes a long time and nobody ever knows or follows the factory designed rules.

I’m a bit of a fan of this edition of Monopoly. It forces you to play by the original rules by which the first Monopoly was designed to be played by and makes the game fast and furious. Unfortunately it makes the games a little too fast and is 100% reliant on luck. There is no skill involved whatsoever and tactics are also close to non existent.

Board snapped in half!

Far from the hardest game in the world, Sorry! is still a great family game to play with young kids. With basic strategy and impromptu treachery all the way along it’s a solid game for all to play. It does however come down entirely to luck, with no skill level involved whatsoever.
