You're escaping captors and uncovering the dark history of the mansion you're trapped in, in this atmospheric horror puzzle adventure. It's free to keep on the Epic Games Store from Friday 9 October until Friday 16 October, Sydney time.

TerraScape has you building kingdoms on floating islands in this cosy, medieval city-building puzzler. Fortnitemares 2026 gets its gameplay trailer

A cursed cartridge is corrupting the Island for this year's Fortnitemares, bringing new bosses, weapons and locations with it. Five Nights at Freddy's crosses over for the event, with Freddy Krueger's claws and the Bonerattler SMG both up for grabs.

Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles gets a colossal update too

The PlayStation version of Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles just got the same colossal update as Xbox, bringing new surveyors, curved walls and combat changes. Two DLCs come with it: Medieval Houses and Verne Bannerless.

This trailer is all about Wobble Golf, one of the party games inside The Cat in the Hat: Rainy Day Mayhem. It uses the DualSense controller's motion sensor for steadying your shot while you compete for the top spot.

The Jackbox Party Pack 12 shows off its new games

The new pack brings five party games: We Forgot a Card for making greeting cards, Hyperface for warping photos, Debate and Switch for arguments, Idol Factions for team trivia, and MegaPals for friendship building. It lands on Xbox October 15.

Asylum gets a release date

Valor Mortis is a first-person soulslike from the team behind Ghostrunner, due out October 13. You're playing a soldier from Napoleon's army raised from the dead, fighting through monsters and supernatural powers to get to the bottom of a conspiracy.

Gallipoli adds a free expansion

The free Ali Al Muntar expansion for Gallipoli is out now, adding a new map with an escort mission for the attacking side plus four new weapons. Two paid DLCs came with it too: Black Watch for the Scottish subfaction, and Khaki for the West Kent subfaction.

The Wolf Among Us Remastered returns to Fabletown

Return to Fabletown with The Wolf Among Us Remastered, out October 29

Telltale's The Wolf Among Us Remastered is out October 29 on PlayStation. The remaster rebuilds the character models, relights every scene, and adds a new Noir Mode that renders the whole story in black and white. Game director Matt Saia says the team wanted to honour the original while bringing new players to the noir adventure set in 1980s Fabletown.

Ember Lab has confirmed Kena: Scars of Kosmora is now landing in 2027 on PS5 and PC, with the extra time going toward polishing the bigger game. The sequel moves away from the original's linear structure, adding four elemental regions, Spirit Guide temples as dungeons, and a new crystalline companion that works as both mount and combat partner. Kena is exploring the island of Kosmora to face her past and her growing role as a Spirit Guide.

Solo developer Tomas Sala's Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles has had a big console update, bringing Xbox in line with the PC build. It adds upgradable surveyors including the Behemoth, curved walls, an overhauled combat system and new Arbology towers that spawn trees. Two DLCs launched with it: Medieval Houses, which adds cosmetic building options, and Verne Bannerless, which adds more aggressive military units. Everything's live now on Xbox One, Series X|S and PC.

Microsoft Casual Games has launched Microsoft Jewel, its first new mobile app in seven years, on iOS, Android and PC. It's a Match-3 game that syncs progress across devices and earns Xbox achievements on mobile. Game Pass Ultimate members get an ad-free experience and other perks on top.

PlayStation Plus subscribers get three new games from Tuesday October 6: F1 25, a racing sim with career and multiplayer modes; Hunt: Showdown 1896, described as a new era for the extraction shooter; and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2, a voxel-style co-op action game for up to four players. September's lineup, including Sniper Elite: Resistance and MLB The Show 26, stays claimable until October 5.

Star Fox gets a free update

A free update has blasted off in Star Fox!

Star Fox on Switch 2 has a free update adding three new Battle Mode stages: Katina, Sector X and Venom, which show up more often in online matches for a limited time. It also adds four-player split screen, with teams of four able to join online battles from one console.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered launched for free this week, and players have been debating its visual changes ever since. The biggest complaint is how overexposed the game looks, and CD Projekt Red agrees it went too far. A patch is coming for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC to tone it back down.
