How Lara Croft's new look came together for Legacy of Atlantis

Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is out February 12, 2027 on PS5, built by Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog with Amazon Game Studios backing it. PlayStation Blog went through how the team rebuilt Lara for the job: hair made from individual strands instead of solid polygon chunks, subsurface scattering on her skin, and thousands of facial expressions from custom blend shapes. For one outfit they had a tailor make the real thing, then scanned it onto a mannequin. The team says they kept her intelligence, fearlessness and thrill-seeking spirit through all of it.

Cyberpunk 2077's free Edgerunners 2 update is live

Cyberpunk 2077's free Edgerunners 2 update went live October 22, tying in with the anime's second season on Netflix. The big new mechanic is dual wielding: pistols or revolvers in both hands at once. There's a new quest built around Weak Kingsley from the anime, a batch of new cosmetics and hairstyles, a new in-game radio station, and mod.io support for browsing community mods straight from the game. Cyberpunk 2077 also now supports Xbox Play Anywhere, so one purchase covers both Xbox and PC with saves carrying over.

She's the Director of Brand Creative at Crystal Dynamics, wrote 20 Years of Tomb Raider, and was the first journalist to reveal the 2013 reboot. She points to the original six-person dev team's work, and says what's stayed constant across every era since is Lara's curiosity, sense of wonder and physical prowess. The anniversary lines up with Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, due February 12, 2027, built on Unreal Engine 5.
