Steam's running a themed event called the Cooking Fest, grouping together cooking and restaurant games. It runs from Tuesday 13 October at 4am to Tuesday 20 October at 4am, Sydney time.

Botlings is a strategy and factory automation game now in early access on GOG. You lead a swarm of robots through turners, splitters and bridges, turning them into production buildings and growing out production networks in 3D. A full release is planned for later in 2026.

Permafrost is a story-driven open-world survival game now on GOG, set on a near-future Earth stuck in endless winter after a series of disasters. You play Rook, an engineer with the skills to rebuild but little wilderness experience, pulled into the frozen world by a radio signal from a long-lost friend.

Blaster! brings back the Defender-style shooter on GOG
Blaster! is a classic Defender-style side-scrolling shooter, now on GOG. You fly an Eagle carrying one Super Bomb, and the job is just to get it to the target, though the game's built to make that hard: reflexes, timing and knowing when to fire are what get you through.

Roadhouse Simulator puts you behind the bar on GOG
Roadhouse Simulator is a casual sim now on GOG. You take over a rundown Route 66 bar, and the jobs range from pouring beer and breaking up brawls to distilling your own liquor, running pig races and keeping gangs and cops off your back, turning the place into a proper roadhouse.

Glasshouse is an isometric turn-based CRPG coming to GOG, set in a post-capitalist "Feudalpunk" world on the edge of a terrible war. It's drawing comparisons to Disco Elysium and Pathologic, with complex dialogue trees, multiple endings and a narrative built around ideological introspection.

Trainwatch is a simulation horror game coming to GOG. You play Troy, a new gatekeeper at a desolate railway crossing, trying to spend a month staying sober and proving to his wife he can change, while train schedules and daily errands keep things normal, on the surface at least.

Machinarium 2 is coming to GOG, the sequel to the point-and-click adventure. After escaping the city of Machinarium, Josef and Berta crash land in a hidden valley and find two robot tribes, one living in a monastery on the rocks and the other in a city below, both running low on power.

Volatiles is a fast-paced, top-down action roguelike from indie studio Instant Defeat, published by 11 bit studios. Every run starts from a single tile, and you fight off alien hordes, level up and place new tiles to expand the arena, picking up weapons, upgrades, traps and risky synergies as you shape your build.

The Crew Motorfest launches on Switch 2
