Tournaments on Playtopia are open! Anyone with an account can run one, for whatever game you and your mates desire (anything not already configured, just reach out!).
How it works
Go to Tournaments and hit Create. Name it, pick the game and the platform, choose a format, and set how many teams can enter. Registration opens as soon as you create it.
Captains register their team and check in. Only checked-in teams make the bracket, so nobody gets stuck waiting on a team that never turned up. When you're ready, you draw the bracket and it's live.
After each match, both captains report the score. When the two reports match, the result locks in and the winner moves on. You don't have to sit there approving every result. If the reports don't match, it comes to you to sort out.
Pick a format
Single elimination: lose once and you're out.
Double elimination: everyone gets a second life.
Round robin: everyone plays everyone.
Swiss: teams on the same record play each other, round by round.
Seeding is handled for you, from each team's record, and the top seeds get a bye if the numbers don't fill the bracket. You can set seeds by hand if you'd rather.
Team games work too. Pick something like Counter-Strike 2 and each team enters with a full roster for that game, subs included.
It doesn't need to be big
Four teams on a Friday night is a tournament. So is a round robin between you and three mates who all reckon they're the best at Rocket League. Run the one you'd want to play in.
